Who we are
We’re on a mission to make investing better for everyone in Europe. More specifically, we’re making it lightyears better (sorry… we had to!). We’re combining multi-currency accounts with unlimited access to global markets so that everyone in Europe can invest freely without sneaky hidden fees or unnecessary barriers.
In less than a year, we went from just an idea to a regulated business that raised $10M, hired a team of 20 people from some of the best fintechs around and launched the app in the UK market.
We’ve got a stellar group of investors behind us including Mosaic Ventures, Taavet Hinrikus, Jaan Tallinn, Sten Tamkivi, Eileen Burbidge as well as a host of angel investors. In 2021, we raised $10M and were covered in TechCrunch, Sifted, Mail Online & the FT.

What you’ll do
- As the second product hire in the company you’ll get the unique opportunity to help define the roadmap, align the company to the product vision and to ensure we’re solving customer problems.
- Take ownership of large parts of our ambitious roadmap to bring and grow our product in the UK and European markets.
- You’ll drive the Product development process for various aspects of the Lightyear product experience. From discovery, helping design end-to-end flows, testing with users before implementation with Engineers.
- You’ll work in a cross-functional squad, working closely with Product Designers and Engineers - responsible for all things design.
- Build an understanding of the customers you’re building products and features for by running research sessions, digging into data or speaking to customers.
- Spend time speaking with customers and internal stakeholders like Customer Success or Operations, and translating their problems into actionable solutions.
- Present and communicate all aspects of your work effectively, such as: why a certain product decision was made to others in the team.
- Build a passion for investing (if you don’t already have one!)
Ideal skills & experience
- 3+ years of product management experience building technology products (FinTech/WealthTech a bonus).
- Strong experience designing and building interfaces for mobile products.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design and product building, UX principles and a genuine curiosity in how humans make decisions.
- Experience using tools like Figma or Sketch to prototype your ideas..
- Ability to translate customer problems through well thought out customer stories into clear specs for designers and engineers.
- Bonus: experience with investing products either personally or professionally.
