Who we are

 

We’re on a mission to make investing better for everyone in Europe. More specifically, we’re making it light years better (sorry… we had to!).  We’re combining multi-currency accounts with unlimited access to global markets so that everyone in Europe can invest freely without sneaky hidden fees or unnecessary barriers.


Over the last year, we’ve grown from just an idea to a regulated business in both the UK and EU, raising $10M and hiring a team of 25 people from some of the best fintechs around along the way. We launched the app in the UK market in Q3 2021, and are gearing up to launch the product across Europe in the coming months.


We’ve got a stellar group of investors behind us including Mosaic Ventures, Taavet Hinrikus, Jaan Tallinn, Sten Tamkivi, Eileen Burbidge as well as a host of angel investors. In 2021, we raised $10M and were covered in TechCrunch, Sifted, Mail Online & the FT.

What you’ll do 

  • Launch and Grow Markets: We are live in the UK and will be launching across Europe in the next few months. The velocity at which we will be launching and scaling marketing over the next 12 months will be high as we develop our offering across all of these markets. We are looking for someone who can help plan and execute these launches along with the existing team but also someone who can think creatively about how we get the right people talking about Lightyear in these different markets, iterating our launch playbook by testing campaigns/channels/messages at pace and tracking the impact of all these activities. Work closely with paid acquisition/growth teams. 
  • Brand: help us develop our brand in different markets by defining our positioning / messaging objectives / desired outcomes by developing a deep understanding of our customer segments and aligning our marketing with that. Bring Lightyear’s mission to life and get people talking about it in new and creative ways. This also includes building a successful marketing design/creative/campaign function within the team which can test/learn and scale across different markets.
  • Own our CRM program from a commercial perspective: how do we acquire leads, convert leads, make existing customers aware and use our various product features, and get users talking about Lightyear. Develop our CRM program by defining objectives and KPIs, iterating on content / creative, automating and testing in different markets.
  • Social: Develop Lightyear’s social channels and reach. Give them strategic focus by defining clear objectives and creatively iterating on content and messaging to maximise our reach and cut-through via social.

 

Ideal skills & experience

  • Exceptional written and spoken English. You’ll be chatting to our customers, partners and of course the rest of the team on a daily basis.
  • Previous experience with cross-market launch activity, referral programs, CRM, social strategy, end-to-end campaigns and brand development
  • Experience working with developers and product teams to deliver growth products
  • An understanding of the investment world is great, but it’s not required. A willingness to learn about it is a must, though!
